Abstract
917,634. Leno selvedges. SDRUZENI PODNIKU TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTIR. July 13, 1959 [July 12, 1958], No. 23907/59. Classes 142 (2) and 142 (4). A leno selvedge of the form shown is woven by means of needles 2 mounted on a heald frame 4 and controlling warp threads 31 which are plain woven with the weft 33<SP>1</SP>. A pair of levers 5, 6, carried by a half frame 9, have eyes for warp threads 32, 32<SP>1</SP>. The horizontal arms 5B, 6B of the levers are drawn together by a spring 20 and forced apart by a peg 12 on a rod 11 reciprocated by a cam 16 to cross the threads. The needles 2 and the levers 5, 6 can be adjusted along their heald frames to cater for different widths of fabric, the pegs 12 being similarly adjusted along the rod 11.
