Class 38 (1) A cartridge fuse holder comprises a resilient split metal sleeve a (e.g. phosphor bronze) which is held in a metal collar c, mounted in an insulating holder g, by engagement of notches b cut in the sleeve with indentations d in the collar. The sleeve is of rectangular shape, the sides being slightly curved so that when the end cap of the fuse is inserted, the sides of the sleeve are pressed outwards against the collar c. A metal ring k to contact the flat face of the cap e is retained in the collar by the sleeve a. In Figs. 5 and (i a castellated wire spring h is sprung into the collar c behind indentations i so that horizontal portions h<SP>2</SP> form chords until pushed outwards by inserting the fuse end cap.
