Abstract

525,438. Fusible cut-outs. SANDERS & CO. (WEDNESBURY), Ltd., W., MANION, E. B., and BAYLISS, G. H. Feb. 21, 1939, No. 5721. [Class 38 (i)] A fuse cartridge 9 is secured in a carrier 10 by a spring clip 11 that engages the barrel of the cartridge, the end contacts 9a being left free to engage directly with the fixed contacts 8 on the fuse base 5. The contacts 9a are displaced from the axis and enter slots 10e in the carrier. The clip 11 is bent from wire and has a central portion bent to form ahead which is located in a recess 10d in the carrier 10. The ends 11c of the wire are rolled to form projections that fit closely in a recess 5a in the base 5 the walls of the recess preventing the clip from opening to release the cartridge when the carrier is being withdrawn from the base.
