Abstract
705,351. Doors and door frames. LARSSON, F. G. May 30, 1952 [June 2, 1951], No. 13871/52. Class 20 (3) A self-closing door 1, mounted to swing on pins 2, 3 and which on being opened is lifted by a roller 6 which co-operates with two inclined guides 4, 5 mounted on the floor concentrically about the lower pin 3, is characterized in that the gap 9 which exists between the door frame 10 and the upper edge of the door, when the latter is closed, is sealed by a metal bar 11. The bar is supported on a pivot 12 in a groove in the door frame, the free ends of the bar being provided with a projection 13 which rests on, and moves with, the pin 2. The guides 4, 5 are provided with flat surfaces 7 which prevent the roller 6 from slipping back when the door is in its fully open position. In order to retain the door in its closed position a gap 8 is provided between the oppositely disposed lowermost points on the guides 4, 5.
