705,218. Igniting gas burners. BAINBRIDGE, G. A. Sept. 2, 1952 [Oct. 25, 1951], No. 34910/51. Class 75 (3) A means for igniting the gas at a particular boiling ring or burner of a gas cooker comprises an igniting burner M supplied with gas by a combination of rigid metal pipes F, 1, a control cock E and an adjustable regulating valve J all connected as by an elbow A to an extension of the gas manifold supplying the boiling rings or burners of the cooker. The igniting burner M is disposed near the particular ring or burner for maintaining a constantly burning flame for igniting the gas at said ring or burner when the tap controlling the latter is opened. The elbow A is connected to the control cock E by a tee-piece C which also connects with a further cock D for contrclling the burner or burners of apparatus such as a washing boiler, a gas poker, or a gas fire communicating with the cock D through a flexible pipe (not shown). The elbow A may be connected to the extension of the gas manifold through an adaptor.
