704,153. Resilient mounting for gear-wheels and the like. BROWN & SONS (HUDDERSFIELD), Ltd.. D. (Richardson Gears Proprietary. Ltd.). Nov. 6, 1951 [Nov. 6, 1950], No. 26994/50. Class 80 (2) A gear-wheel or the like comprises an annulus a with an inwardly projecting flange a<SP>1</SP>, and is received within a circumferential groove b formed by a flange c<SP>2</SP> on a wheel centre c and a separate ring d secured to the centre c by bolts e. Driving pins g accommodated in aligned holes f in the flange c<SP>2</SP> and ring' d pass through enlarged holes in the flange a'. Around the pins g and between metal tubes j, k, are a series of trapezoidalsectioned rings i of rubber or like material. The rings i are assembled under compression and have an axial thickness which is less at the outer periphery than at the inner periphery.
