Class 125 (1) A non-renllable bottle closure comprises a valve carrier body 4 and a casing 14 containing a baffle arrangement. The body 4 is cylindrical with a flange 5 which rests on a packing 6 on the bottle mouth and has a central valve opening 8 below which is a box 11 supported by arms 12 A disc valve 9 has a pin 10 guided in the box 11 and is kept in position by a superimposed weight 13. The casing 14 rests outside the flange 5 or the packing 6 and has a central opening 15 and crossed ribs 17, Fig. 2, from which project teeth 19. A hard metal sheet 20 rests by its corners or a projecting rib 5<SP>1</SP> of the carrier 4 and has open. ings to receive the teeth 19, and raised lugs 22 which enter channels in the ribs 17 and mouth 15. A metal strap 23 keeps the parts assembled or, in a modified construction, the casing 14, pre ferably of plastic material, is extended down the side of the neck and is bent under a shoulder 2
