Abstract

671,860. Stoppers &c. SAFETY PRECISIONS. Ltd. May 9, 1950, No. 11509/50. Class 125(iii) A closure for bottles &c. has an outer member 1 attached to or forming part of the container and an inner slidable member 2, apertured at 3 to allow discharge of the contents of the bottle, having a rib 4 which engages with a shoul. der 5 on the outer member to prevent complete detachment from the container, and riveted to a spring press-cap 7 the lower rim 8 of which engages with a rib 9 on the member 1 in the closed position. In a modification, Fig. 10, a spring 52 returns the slidable member to the lower position when it is released, after which the cap may be snapped closed. Various other modifications are shown and described.
