Class 17(2) On an insole A of felt covered on its inner face with a layer of canvas B which is turned over the edges of the insole and sewn through at C, is lasted an upper D of canvas to which a marginal extension or skirt F has been attached with a decorative beading G interposed between it and the upper. This skirt F is cement lasted over a middle sole or platform H stuck to the underside of the insole and the lasted margin of the upper and a crepe-rubber outed sole K is then attached. A sole binding L of creperubber strip may be stuck to the exposed edges of the skirt F and sole K, or formed. integral with the sole K.
