701,907. Dynamometers. ACRATORK ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Oct. 22, 1951 [Aug. 21, 1950], No. 20675/50. Class 106 (2) An apparatus for indicating the torque being applied to a member, for example a torque spanner being tested in a torque test, comprises a lever arm 11 of a predetermined length having one end 9 pivotally connected to a spring-loaded balance 7 and the other end pivotally mounted and provided with means 15 for operative engagement with the member under test. The means 15 may comprise a pivot with a co-axial spanner socket mounted in roller bearings, to which pivot the arm 11 is secured. Specification 625,477, [Group XXIII], is referred to.
