Abstract

699,435. Rotary pumps. MONO PUMPS, Ltd. (Robbins & Myers, Inc.). March 13, 1952, No. 6596/52. Class 110(ii) A pump, of the Moineau type, has an internallyhelical grooved resilient stator 13 provided with an outer conical casing 15 which has a beaded end 17 secured as shown, or by modified means described in the Specification. The rotor 27, having one thread less than the stator, is secured to a motor shaft 49 as by a screw thread 50. Inlet and outlet ports 25, 14 are provided, Fig. 2, or the pump may deliver into a chamber 52 which has an outlet 58. In Fig. 2 the stator 13, and port extension 14 gyrate together. A closure cap 18, which may be of sheet metal, co-acts with shaft-sealing means comprising seating members 19, 22, resilient member 23, extending spring 24 and a snap-ring 21.
