699,273. Wrapping-.machines. ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH), Ltd. May 29, 1952 [July 24, 1951], No. 17477/51. Class 94(i) A machine for wrapping thin wafer-like articles 10 of the kind in which the articles are fed in succession, e.g. by a reciprocating pusher 13, into separate pockets 17 of an intermittently rotatable pocket wheel 18, a wrapper 16 being fed in timed relationship with the article feed across the path of movement of the article so as to be pushed with the article into the pocket, the wrapper being partially folded about the article during this action, comprises a magazine 11, for the articles, formed as a detachable unit adapted to be seated on the main framework 12 of the machine adjacent the wrapper feeding mechanism, abutments 14, 28 on the main framework for securing the magazine against movement towards and from the wrapper feeding mechanism, and a spring-loaded latch device 31 for securing the magazine in position. The abutment 14 is formed as a guide channel through which the articles are pushed. The latch 31 is carried by a rearward extension 24 of the magazine 11 passing between side walls of a locating bracket 26, the latch being forked at one end to provide a pair of latch members 32 arranged to engage a pair of catch members 33 on the side walls of the bracket 26. The wrapped articles may be delivered to a similar magazine.
