715,178. Wrapping-machines. FORGROVE MACHINERY CO., Ltd., HOPTON. A., and RUSSELL. A. March 31, 1953 [July 29, 1952], No. 19142/52. Addition to 699,474. Class 94 (1) [Also in Group XXX] In apparatus of the kind, described in the parent Specification for feeding biscuits to the intermittently-moving feed conveyer of a wrapping machine, means is provided for supporting the biscuits 13 while they are being fed by the belts 12, 112, 212, Fig. 2, on to the separators 11, 111, 211 comprising forked members 42, 142. 242 which move forward with the bisciuits as the latter pass on to the separators and thereafter move rearward to support the next batch. The supports 42, 142, 242 are attached to a bar 39, one end of which carries a roller 40 running in a guide 41 on the firamework and the other end of which is fixed to a shaft 36. This shaft is slidably mounted and carries a slotted member 34. A block 32, which slides in the slot, is engaged by a stud 31 adjustably mounted in a slot 30 in the arm 19 of a bell-crank lever mounted on the shaft 15 of the belt driving mechanism. The other arm 17 of the lever is rooked periodically by a camoperated rod 18. A transverse bracket 23 has flanges 24 which serve as lateral guides for the biscuits.
