699,364. Wrapping-machines. ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH), Ltd. Feb. 4, 1952 [March 10 1951]. No. 5823/51. Class 94(i) [Also in Group II] A vibrating feeding device, of the kind in which articles 11 are caused to move by vibration from a base member in a container 12 of circular crosssection along a spiral path 13 formed in the wall of the container and leading to an outlet at the top of the container, is combined with a wrapping- machine having article-receiving pockets 18 towards which the feeding device is arranged to deliver the articles in succession. A channel 14 leads from the outlet of the container to the pockets 18 of an intermittently rotated feed wheel 17 of the wrapping machine. Two such channels 14 may be provided to guide the articles from two outlets from the container 12 to the pocketed feed wheels of two wrapping machines. The channel 14 may lead to a platform from which each article is pushed by a reciprocating pusher to successive pockets or pairs of jaws of a mould wheel. The container 12 is mounted on pivoted links 19 on a main body 21, an opposed pair of the links 19 being operated on by a pair of hydraulic vibrators 22.
