Abstract

Magnet alloys having the composition Co 17.0-23.5 per cent, balance Pt, are treated to obtain high energy and high coercive force by subjecting them to disordering treatment at a temperature of at least 850 DEG C, cooling at a rate in the range 0.5-50 DEG C per second to a temperature not exceeding 300 DEG C and annealing at a temperature in the range 550-650 DEG C for from 2-50 hours.
