Abstract

A magnetic element which is cooled in a magnetic field through its Curie point to produce a preferred magnetic direction (see Group XXXV), may be of an alloy comprising 14-30 per cent cobalt, 9-20 per cent nickel, 5-11 per cent aluminium, 0-8 per cent copper, 0-4 per cent titanium, 0-2 silicon, 0-3 per cent tantalum or columbium, 0-3 per cent manganese, 0-0.5 per cent sulphur and less than 0.2 per cent carbon. Other elements may be added up to 5 per cent.
