Class 122(iii) In a pipe joint ring 11 made of natural or synthetic rubber or of vinyl resin, acrylic resin or polyethylene and of quadrilateral section having bonded to one corner thereof a lead or like metal facing 10 forming part of the inner circumferential face and part of one of the end faces of the ring, the inner and/or outer circumferential faces of the ring are formed with circumferential serrations 12 to seal with the opposed circumferential faces of the pipe spigot and socket. The serrations 12 are of saw-tooth cross-section.
