Class 6(iii) In a potato-harvester, a haulm-cutter is suspended by pivoted arms 14 above the digging share 1, the arms being linked to the supports 2 for the share so that they are lifted, for transport, with the arms. The supports 2 are pivoted at 5 on the main frame 3 and are connected by a link 21 to a bell-crank 19, 20 attached by an adjustable link 22 to the arms 14. The lifting means for the supports 2 is connected thereto by links 4. The haulm cutter is located in the space below an arched draw-frame 7 and comprises a rotary shaft 9 carrying oblique discs 8 fitted with blades, the discdiameters being graduated to conform to the profile of the ridges, Fig. 3. An earthseparating conveyer 6 follows the share and a chain drive 24 is taken from its driving shaft 23 to the rotary shaft 9.
