694,657. Pneumatic tyres. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd. Oct. 10, 1951 [Nov. 24, 1950], No. 28736/50. Class 144 (ii). A self-sealing air-tube comprises a layer 5 of puncture-closing composition fitted between the tread portion of the tube and a rubberizedfabric band 2 vulcanized to the tube. To avoid damage by the tyre beads, the rim-seating portion 4 of the tube is protected by a layer 6 of low-stretch rubber.
