Abstract

805,552. Pneumatic tyres. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. April 3, 1956 [April 15, 1955], No. 10845/55. Class 144 (2). A tyre 4 as described in Specification 786,162, is assembled on a one-piece wheel rim 1 comprising a flat base 2 with integral side flanges 3 which engage the axially outer surfaces of the tyre edges and which are of a radial depth to allow the flexible and extensible edges of the tyre to pass thereover on assembly, but to retain the tyre on the rim in the event of a blow-out.
