Abstract

679,642. Pneumatic tyres. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., FLETCHER, H. R., and MULLINS, W. J. July 11, 1950 [Sept. 20, 1949], No. 24115/49. Class 144 (ii). A dual-chamber pneumatic tyre, stated to be particularly applicable for use on aircraft landing wheels, comprises an outer inflatable casing 1 having tread, side-wall and bead portions with an integral rubber lining 5, and an inner independently-inflatable chamber 8 with a covering 10 of resilient material having a textile or wire reinforcement 12 which is adapted to act as a bead-spacer and to carry the load on deflation of the outer chamber.
