694,529. Luminescent materials. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS, Inc. April 3, 1951 [April 28, 1950], No. 7747/51. Class 39(i) A fluorescent material comprises calcium magnesium tungstate activated by lead and containing a small amount of lithium or sodium. The oxides or carbonates of the elements or compounds yielding the oxides are fired at 1875‹F. and refired at 1650‹F., though these temperatures are not critical. The amounts of the respective metals in the phosphor with respect to calcium carbonate or its equivalent are magnesium 0.1-0.4 mols, lead 0.005-0.02 mols, lithium a trace to 0.03 per cent or sodium a trace to 0.06 per cent by weight.
