693,530. Couplings; cranfcshafts. RING- FEDER GES. April 25, 1951 [April 27, 1950], No. 9600/51. Class 80 (ii). [Also in Group XXXIV] A pin is secured in a bore in a member by fitting a ring spring, consisting of a plurality of closed inner and outer rings, around it and within the bore and compressing the spring axially. Shown as applied to a crankpin e, ring springs f are placed around the pin and within bores in crank-webs c, d and are compressed axially by nuts g, h. The axial compression of the ring springs f is such that in the case of overload the pin e can turn relatively to the bores. The device may also be applied to gear wheels, flywheels, grinding discs, vehicle wheels and the like.
