Class 126 A refuse incinerator of the kind comprising an outer casing 1, an inner casing 5<1> forming a combustion chamber 5, and outer chamber between the two casings, a top door 9 for the introduction of the refuse, a grid 2 at the bottom of the combustion chamber and a removable ash box 4 below the grid is characterized by the provision of air inlet openings 8 at the top of the chamber formed between the two casings, this chamber communicating, through the grid 2, with the combustion chamber, a combustion gas outlet 11 at the back of the combustion chamber, and a refractory lining 6 on the outside of the inner casing.
