Abstract

PURPOSE:To collect and use the heat irradiated from a combustion tube and to raise combustion effect by a method wherein a combustion tube is made by a double construction of an inner and an outer wall, an air passage for heat exchange is made up by the space between these walls and the air suction hole of a blast fan and the opening of the outer wall are connected through said air passage. CONSTITUTION:The combustion furnace 1 for granulated material consists of a combustion tube 2, a machine chamber 3 connected downward, an ash remover 4 arranged sideways and a hopper 5. The combustion tube 2 comprises an inner wall 7 having an exhaust hole 6 on the top and an outer wall 8 which encircles the outer circumference of the tube at fixed intervals and an air passage 9 for heat exchange divides these walls. An opening 22 having a damper and another opening 21 are provided at the neighborhood of the blast fan 17 around the lower part of the outer wall 8 and at the farthest position therefrom. Said openings 21, 22 and the suction hole 20 to the blast fan 17 are connected through the air passage 9 for heat exchange. The heat which has been lost from the combustion tube 2 to the open air is collected through the air passage 9 for heat exchange and the temperature of the pressurized air from the blast fan 17 is raised.
