A cable connector comprises an annular member 5 having an internally-tapered portion, embracing the cable strands 10 and providing a constriction for preventing the cable end passing back through the member after the strand ends have been bent back upon themselves, the member being retained in a recess 3 in a terminal 2 by an annular plug 7 screwing into the recess 3. The screwing up of the plug 7 produces a wedging action against the cable end.
