Abstract
689,150. Looms. stopping arrangements. CAMPS, J. PICANOL-. May 21, 1951 [May 30, 1950], No. 11860/51. Class 142(i) [Also in Group XXIV] A stopping device actuated by the dagger in a weaving loom comprises a control member 11, actuated by the driving motor of the loom, keyed on the end of a hollow shaft or sleeve 20 mounted to rotate freely on the end of a crankshaft 7, a pinion 12 or other member driving a wheel 8 of the picking shaft being rigidly mounted on sleeve 20 with a disc 25 driving a brake drum 13 keyed on crankshaft 7, the brake drum 13 being driven by the disc 25 through elastic elements. Sleeve 20 may constitute an extension of the hub of pinion 12, the disc of pinion 12 constituting disc 25 driving brake drum 13, the coupling of the brake drum 13 with driving disc 25 being effected as in castellated elastic couplings, the outer face of disc 25 being extended at its periphery by outwardly curved' arms 26, the ends of which enter the.plane of the brake drum, which comprises internal projections which engage between these projections, damping and driving springs 27 and adjustable stops 29 being provided.
