Abstract
791,084. Warp and cloth beams. SUCKER GES., GEB. March 11, 1955 [March 13, 1954], No. 7168/55. Class 142(1) [Also in Group XVI] Means are provided in the drive for the stub shafts supporting a warp or cloth beam for permitting angular or axial adjustment of one or both stub shafts. In one form, Fig. 2, angular adjustment is obtained by providing a free wheel 11 in the drive. Axial adjustment, to allow for variation in the length of the beam, is allowed by providing a rubber ring 22 within a recess in the end of the driving sleeve 14 which is slidably keyed to the stub shaft 4. A cap nut 20 is mounted on the outside of the end of the driving sleeve 14 so that the rubber ring 22 can be squeezed against the stub shaft to lock the shaft against axial movement. The rubber ring may be replaced by a slotted ring having a conical surface which can be forced by the nut against a corresponding conical surface at the end of the driving sleeve so that the ring locks the stub shaft from axial movement. The conical ring may alternatively engage a conical surface on the stub shaft.
