A bobbin-carrier comprises a frame 2, 3, 4 supported on retractable wheels 7 which may be moved by the lever 8 to bring the jacks 15 into engagement with the ground, the bobbins being carried by cross-shafts 17 secured to the longitudinal shaft 11 which is fitted with a handwheel.
