Abstract
686,959. Induction heating. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. Sept. 19, 1951 [Sept. 22, 1950], No. 21955/51. Class 39(iii) A method of uniformly heating a longitudinally extending metal article of small diameter is characterized in that the article is rotated during its longitudinal advance through the high frequency furnace field, which is at right angles to the article axis, and the high frequency current in the furnace coils is generated by a rotating electric machine. In Fig. 3, a tube 1 is rotated within, and advanced through, a coil 2 surrounded by iron laminations 3.
