686,653. Milling. DECKEL, H., and DECKEL, F. W. Aug. 13, 1951 [Sept. 21, 1960], No. 19046/51. Class 83 (iii). An attachment for cutting helical grooves on a milling-machine comprises an angularly adjustable table 46 carrying the work-piece 50, a support 30 adjustably mounted on the machine slide 12, and gear means 22, 28, 32, 36 for transmitting rotation to the work-piece from the slide-traversing screw 14. The gear means includes a manually-operated reversing clutch 40. A dividing head 78 is provided. The tool head 82 is angularly adjustable. The screw 14 is rotated by hand or power. The table 46 is adjusted angularly against a scale 52 when the work-piece is conically-shaped.
