[Class 83 (iii)] [Also in Group XXIII] A machine for milling, drilling, &c. comprises a rotary cutter mounted on a spindle which is adjustable vertically and horizontally and angularly about a vertical axis, and a work-holder adjustable vertically and horizontally and angularly about a horizontal axis, and also tiltable in a vertical plane relatively to the cutter. The cutter-spindle i, driven by a motor j, is rotatably mounted on an arcuate guideway indicated at g in a slide f which is carried in guideways on a holder e which is rotatably mounted on a cross-slide d. The cross-slide d is mounted on a slide c adjustable on a knee b which slides vertically on guides a<SP>1</SP>, adjustment being measured by gaugepoints b<SP>2</SP>, b<SP>3</SP>. The work-table n is adjustable horizontally and vertically on a face-plate p and guides o<SP>2</SP> which are rotated by a wheel o either manually or by power. Indexing means indicated at m<SP>2</SP> are provided. The worktable assembly is mounted on a member m which is adjustable along arcuate guideways a<SP>2</SP>.
