Class 75(iii) In a vehicle headlamp the optical system comprising a reflector b and a glass front a is adjustably secured inside the lamp body d by two adjustable devices and a hinged joint distributed peripherally on a ring c secured to the reflector, each adjustable device comprising a bracket h fixed to the ring and having means such as brackets h<SP>1</SP>, h<SP>2</SP> for anchoring and guiding a tension spring i, a lug j for guiding the movement. of the optical system and a bracket k through which an adjusting screw l is threaded. A member m secured to the lamp body opposite each bracket h comprises a member m<SP>1</SP> to which the other end of the tension spring is anchored, a member m<SP>2</SP> apertured to receive the guiding lug j and a member m<SP>3</SP> against which the end of theadjusting screw abuts. The hinged joint comprises a lug on the ring c loosely engaged in a recess in the lamp body d. The ring c is secured to the glass front by bayonet connections and has spring fingers which press the reflector against a shoulder on the glass front.
