Abstract
683,528. Electric air heaters. FINCH & CO., Ltd., B. July 28, 1950 [May 3, 1949], No. 11811/49. Class 39 (iii) [Also in Group XIII] In a space heating system (see Group XIII) air intially warmed by a domestic heating appliance is further heated by an auxiliary electric heater at the end of the warm-air duct. The heater comprises a rectangular tubular frame 30 of asbestos or like insulating material spanned at its opposite ends by helical wires 32 and is controlled by a switch in the room. The warm-air duct is shaped at its end to receive the heater which is retained by spring clips 31 on the frame 30 and has a pilot light indicating when it is switched on. Specification 565,006 is referred to.
