614,690. Thermal switches. QUINN, J., and IRISH DOMESTIC ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, Ltd. July 20,1946, No. 21743. Convention date, March 8. [Class 38 (v)] The bimetal strip 3 of a thermal switch in an immersion heater has a contact 3c co-operating with a fixed contact 5c, and is mounted, e.g. by riveting, on one end 2a of the sheathed heating element 2, which is carried on the socket 4. The contact 5c is adjustable in a terminal pin 6 to alter the operating temperature, the other end 2b of the element being directly connected to the second pin 7.
