Abstract

683,179. Miners' lamps. DOMINITWERKE GES. Dec. 5, 1950 [Jan. 30, 1950], No. 29702/50. Classes 75(iii) and 75(iv) A miner's lamp consists of an elec tric spotlight lamp 3 formed integrally with an electrically ignited ventilatior testing lamp a the electric battery anc its housing being separate and connec ted to the spotlight 3 by a flexible cable 5 The holder for the electric bulb 13 of the spotlight is mounted in a projection 6 or one wall of the testing lamp casing anc a reflector 7 screws into the projection sc that the focus of the spotlight can be adjusted. Several layers of protective glass 8 and a ring 9 are secured to the reflector 7 by a ring 10 which is held in position by a screw lock 11 which also has a magnetic lock. A bar 12 which is secured to the casing of the testing lamp engages the screw-lock 11 to prevent it and the reflector moving after the focus has been adjusted. A connection is also made from the battery cable 5 to an electric ignitor 14 in the testing lamp.
