Abstract

1,198,826. Warning lamps. J. GABERT. 27 Oct., 1967 [17 Nov., 1966], No. 48965/67. Heading F4R. A warning lamp, e.g. for giving warning of the presence of a road obstruction, comprises a transparent, coloured, plastics, base part 1, a transparent, colourless, plastics upper dome part 4, the two parts being screwed together by mating screw-threads 2, 5, and two electric lamps 7, 8, supplied from a battery 9, one or both through a flashing circuit 10, housed within the two body parts 1, 4. The lamps 7, 8 are mounted upon an externally screw-threaded reflector 12 which screws into the lower part of the thread 2. The base part 1 is closed at its bottom by a screw-threaded magnetic closure plate 6 whereby the lamp may be retained upon a suitable metal surface. A switch 11 controls the supply of current to the flasher 10 and lamps 7, 8.
