Abstract

1481116 Lamps SIEMENS AG 9 April 1975 [10 April 1974] 14714/75 Heading F4R A lamp, e.g. for floodlighting, comprises a housing 1 having a cylindrical sidewall 10 which is closed at one end 11, a bulb socket 21 and a a connection device 22 or terminal 23, for connecting the socket to an electrical supply secured to the inside of the housing between the socket and the sidewall, and a detachable reflector 3 having a light exit aperture and a further opening 34 which enables a bulb 4 to be mounted in the socket 21 the reflector 3 abutting against the open end of the housing and extending partially within the housing. As shown, the parabolic reflector 3 is hinged to the housing from a point intermediate its ends, the aperture 34 in the reflector being such as to permit this hinging away while the bulb 4 is in position. The reflector is normally mounted on the housing by three spaced spring clips 36, the unlatching of any two of which permits the reflector to be hinged away. The reflector may be closed by a transparent cover 37 sealed thereto, and the aperture 34 may mount against a plane reflector 35 secured to the socket 21.
