683,116. Liquid-blast switches. FORGES ET ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRIQUES DE JEUMONT. June 8, 1951 [June 9, 1950], No. 13625/51. Addition to 615,749. Class 38 (v) The member 11 of the parent Specification is replaced by gas-containing cavities 19, 19a, 20, 20a in the immediate vicinity of the channels 9, so as to damp out the pressure impulses at the points at which they are created. The fluids passing into said cavities through passages 21, 22, 22a during arc extinction also assist in maintaining the arcs in the channels 9.
