678,724. Motor-cycle crash guards. ONSLOW, C. G. VALE-. Dec. 27, 1950 [Sept. 30, 1949], No. 25100/49. Class 136(i) A motor-cycle crash guard comprises an open frame 10 having an upper part 11 detachably connected by a bracket 17 to the front main down member 19 of the motorcycle frame, depending portions 13 extending in front of the knees and lower parts of the legs of the rider and connected by a part 12 which is secured to the motorcycle by a pair of members 22 which are adjustable along the part 12 and which are also adjustable longitudinally in relation to the motor-cycle frame. Each member 22 consists of a screw-threaded rod provided with clamping nuts 23 which secure a two part clamp 20 in adjusted position on the part 12. The rods 22 are connected to the motor-cycle frame by means of bolts passing through eyes 24 at the ends of the rods. The bracket 17 carries an adjustable clip 18 and is pivotally connected by bolts 16 to a pair of depending lugs 15 on the upper part 11 of the crash guard.
