Abstract
567,182. Weather-guards for cycle saddles. HINER, W. S. March 24, 1943, No. 4758. [Class 136 (i)] A cover for protecting a cycle saddle from rain, &c. when the machine is not in use, comprises a frame 2 formed in hinged sections with a waterproof covering 4 applied thereto, which may be moved from an inoperative folded position, Fig. 2, to a position, Figs. 1, 5, in which it extends over the saddle. The frame is jointed at a number of points 1 and is attached to a rod 5 adjustable in a sleeve 6 welded or otherwise secured to a clamp 9 adapted to be clipped over the cross-bar in front of the saddle. In the case of a lady's cycle, the sleeve 6 is secured to a bracket clamped to the upper end of the rear wheel fork.
