Collapsable cycles; heads.-In order to enable the front forks and handle-bar to be detached from the main frame for storage or for the purpose of substituting a front wheel frame carrying a light driving-motor for the ordinary front wheel frame, the tubular steering-head is made in two separable parts, one of which is fast with the main frame, the two parts being connected together by a clamping device to hold the front wheel frame in operative position. In the form shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the steering stem 1 is rotatably mounted in an outer tubular head 2 having a longitudinal slot 3 to receive a junction piece 10 of semi-circular cross-section on the main frame, the parts 2, 10 being held together by hinged clamping-jaws 4, one of which carries a pivoted clamping-bolt adapted to engage the other jaw and to be secured by a nut 15. In a modifica,tion, the outer tubular head is formed in two parts hinged together so as to open and receive an inner tubular head, the two hinged parts being then clamped together by a pivoted link carrying a locking-screw.
