695,154. Crash guards for motor-cycles. MOTOR CYCLE EQUIPMENT (BIRMINGHAM), Ltd. May 15, 1952 [May 15, 1951], No. 11244/51. Class 136 (i) A crash guard for motor cycles is attached to the down tube through the medium of a curved guide 3 slidable on a mounting member 5, 6 so that the angular position of the guard relative to the motor cycle frame may be adjusted. The guard comprises two bars 1 connected by bridge pieces consisting of straight strips 2 and curved strips 3 having slots 4. The down tube of the motor cycle is held in a clip formed of two strips of metal 5, 6. The strip 5 is connected to the strips 3 by bolts 7 which slide in the slots 4 until the guard is in the correct angular position and are then tightened to obtain a rigid connection.
