Abstract

782,362. Cycle supports. ELSWICKHOPPER CYCLE & MOTOR CO., Ltd. March 10, 1955 [Aug. 30. 1954], No. 25163/54. Class 136(1) A training and stabilizing device is anchored to the chain stays of a bicycle close to the bottom bracket 31 and comprises auxiliary wheels 30 mounted in arms 19 which are pivotally adjustable relative to the frame so that the wheels 30 can be swung in an up-and-down direction, and a clamping bolt 26 for securing the arms 19 in the adjusted position. A U-shaped member 10 is clamped to the chain stays 13. The ends of the limbs 12 of the member 10 are formed with quadrant shaped portions 16 and are provided with an arcuate set of holes 17. The arms 19 pivot about a bolt 22 which passes through the limbs 12. Each lever arm 19 is provided with a hole 25 which may be brought into register with any of the holes in the quadrant 16. The clamping bolt 26 is arranged to extend through the registering holes.
