Abstract

672,898. Screwdrivers. GROSS, S. June 1, 1950 [March 9, 1949], No. 6393/49. Class 61 (iii). A screwdriver having a shaft 18 and a head 19 provided with shoulders 20 and a transverse rib 21 instead of the usual blade; has a sleeve 17 axially slidable on the shaft to prevent the screwdriver from slipping off the screw. The sleeve is retained on the shaft by shoulders on the head 19. The rib 21 does not extend completely across the head, the tool being thereby adapted for use with several sizes of screw. The shoulders 20 may be recessed to receive a round headed screw.
