Abstract

996,383. Hammers; handles. G. E. MARSHALL. Sept. 29, 1961 [Oct. 3, 1960], No. 33920/60. Headings B4C and B4K. The head 10 of a hammer comprises a solid block of rubber having a metal sleeve 11 set in it, the sleeve 11 having an internal screw-thread to co-operate with a screw-thread on the handle 13. The sleeve extends from end to end of a bore in the rubber block so that the handle can be reversed. The head 10 is moulded around the sleeve and vulcanized to it.
