Abstract

671,283. Refrigerators. IMHOF, Ltd., A. June 9, 1950, No. 14486/50. Class 29 A refrigerator comprises an H-shaped main frame 6, the side wall panels 1, 2 being screwed directly to the uprights 10 and a one-piece liner 7 being secured to brackets 13 on the uprights, a back wall panel 3 secured to the rear of the side walls, and a top panel 4 secured to flanges 15 on the top of the side walls, A plate 9 defining the machinery compartment is secured to a bottom flange 30 on the back wall 3 and to the cross-member 11 of the frame 6. Also secured to the main frame are a door 8 and a cover 5 for the machinery compartment, the base of which is formed by transverse girders 26 secured to bottom flanges 16 on the side walls. The liner 7 is secured to the brackets 13 by nuts and bolts 23, heat insulation being provided by a insulating collar 24. A trim strip 31 is provided and lies between a shoulder 34 in the inwardly bent flange 14 of the side wall and a clip 31 interengaging with the liner 7 and the trim strip. The top wall 4 is also secured to the front edge of the liner by brackets.
