Abstract

1467636 Refrigerator casings KELVINATOR Ltd 22 May 1974 [22 May 1973] 24409/74 Heading F4H A refrigerator or freezer cabinet comprises an outer casing which is at least partially made up of sheet metal panels 15 secured to one or more internal frames 16 by nailing, screwing or stapling, the frame or frames being made of structural plastics or fibreglass material. The material may be polyethylene reinforced with cellulosic fibrous material. At least one metal panel is formed with a flange for securing it to the frame and a less rigid panel 17 of aluminium foil-coated carbdoard is secured thereto across the flange. The space 10 between a polystyrene liner 5 and the metal panel is filled with a rigid polyurethane foam.
