[Also in Divisions B8 and H3] A casing for housing a television receiver set or radio receiver comprises a collapsible casing 1 made up of a plurality of rigid wall sections 7 spaced apart and connected by flexible hinge members 9 which latter form rounded edges when the casing is erected. The collapsible casing 1 comprises three wall sections 3, 4, 5 of which sections 3, 5 are the sides and section 4 the top, an additional section 6 attached to the section 4 forming the back of the casing. As shown in Fig. 2, the wooden rigid wall sections 7 are rebated at the edges 8 and leather hinge members 9 are inserted into the rebates. A plastic lining 10 covers the inside surfaces of the wooden panels and also the inside faces of the leather strips, and the outside surfaces of the panels and strips are covered with a layer of foamed plastic material 11 and plastic skin 12. When the wall sections have been united, a " comer lining " as shown in Fig. 2 is formed. A base 2 is secured to flange portions 15 of the side walls 3, 5 and a fixing flange 14 for the receiver is attached to a panel 7 by countersunk screws S. In the embodiment of Fig. 4 (not shown), no internal lining or external skin are provided and the panels are provided with chamfered edges instead of separate cut edges 8<SP>1</SP> of Fig. 2. In Fig. 5 (not shown), the clearance between the wooden panels at the corners is greater than their thickness leaving a recess which accommodates a corner reinforcement of wood or other rigid material when the easing is erected.
