Abstract

1422550 Skirting board H G JONASON J O LINDSTROM and R S HALVARSSON 24 April 1973 [24 April 1972] 19263/73 Heading E1B A skirting board 2, having a generally U- shaped cross-section is attached to a wall by retaining members 1, also of U-shaped crosssection, and covers the turned up edge of a carpet 6. A grooved portion 2g on the skirting board engages a smilar grooved portion 1b on the retaining member, and the latter is provided with lugs 1c, 1d for nails and holes le, If for a screw. The skirting board may be finished by an end piece, Fig. 3. (not shown), and corner cover plates Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown) may be used. The skirting board is of a plastics material and the retaining member of metal or plastics material.
